DENNIS-MICHAEL BROUSSARD – PRESIDENT
Dennis-Michael is originally from New Orleans and his ethnic heritage includes French and Filipino origins. He is the new board president and looks forward to contributing to the cultural activities and learning opportunities that the House of France can provide to the people of San Diego!
Dennis-Michael est originaire de la Nouvelle-Orléans et son héritage ethnique comprend des origines françaises et philippines. Il est le nouveau président du conseil d’administration et a hâte de contribuer aux activités culturelles et aux opportunités d’apprentissage que la Maison de France peut offrir aux habitants de San Diego!
SARAH GILLE – VICE PRESIDENT
I am American with a British-French husband. I have lived and traveled in France, and I enjoy sharing French culture and language through the House of France.
Sarah est américaine, avec un mari franco-britannique. Elle a vécu en France à plusieurs reprises et a beaucoup voyagé en France. Elle aime bien partagé la langue et la culture française à travers la Maison de France.
CHRISTIANE PERRY – TREASURER
My name is Christiane Perry and I moved back to San Diego after spending many years living on the East Coast – Washington, DC; Annapolis, Maryland; Boston and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. My mother Monique is French and comes from Normandy. I was born in France and have spent many family vacations staying with my aunts and uncles and visiting with my many cousins who live in Normandy and the Haute Savoie regions of France.
Je m’appelle Christiane Perry et je suis retournée à San Diego après habiter à Washington, DC; Annapolis, Maryland; Boston et Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Je suis née en France (Dreux) et ma mère Monique vient de la Normandie. J’ai passé de nombreuses vacances avec ma famille qui habitent en Normandie et aussi en Haute Savoie.
ROSELYNE GADET – HOSTESS CHAIR/MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY
Born and raised in France in the center region. I have lived in San Diego since 1989. I go back to france regularly. Also I teach French for after school programs and groups for adults and children. Host for 1st Saturday of the month where free French happens!
Je suis née et j’ai grandi en France, dans la région Centre. Je vis à San Diego depuis 1989. Je retourne en France régulièrement. J’enseigne le Français dans les programmes after-school et pour des groupes de tous âges. Hôtesse, chaque premier samedi du mois, de sessions gratuites de Français!
CHANDRA BORDES – BOARD MEMBER AT LARGE
Originally from Trinidad, West Indies. Living in San Diego since 1987. Member of House of France since that time. Treasurer since 2015. Married to Andre BORDES with two daughters Coralie and Anais. Grandmother of 2-yr-old Mcniesh. Founders of San Diego French American School in 1988.
Originaire de Trinidad, Caraibes. Installée à San Diego depuis 1987 et membre du cottage français depuis cette date. Trésorière depuis 2015. Mariée à André Bordes, maman de deux filles, Coralie et Anais et grand-mère d’un petit garçon de 2 ans Mcniesh. Fondatrice avec mon mari de l’école franco-américaine de San Diego in 1988.
MARION LANIER – BOARD MEMBER AT LARGE
I first came to the US for studies. 25 years later, I am still here (opposite coast), married to an American and have two kids. I joined the cottage about 15 years ago, originally to bring some French culture into my kid’s lives. I discovered a welcoming community, the pleasure of sharing my culture with Balboa Park visitors and made lifelong friends.
Je suis d’abord venue aux Etats-Unis pour mes études. 25 ans plus tard, je suis toujours là (sur la côte opposée), mariée à un américain et maman de deux enfants. J’ai rejoint le cottage il y a environ 15 ans pour introduire un peu de culture française dans la vie de mes enfants. J’y ai reçu un accueil chaleureux, découvert le plaisir de partager ma culture et rencontré des amis formidables.
